AB Three patients with AIDS are described with atypical manifestations of
cutaneous herpes simplex virus infection. This infection should be
considered in the immunosuppressed patient with persistent or bizarre
cutaneous ulceration despite negative virological cultures, and in the
acutely ill patient with a generalized rash.
